The official report by the Egyptian authorities, claims that Kamal committed suicide in his prison cell, while Egyptian national figures and former political prisoners, confirm that he was tortured to death at the hands of the Egyptian security forces.
As part of Aljazeera’s series ‘Mysteries Endings’, this documentary investigative the real reasons behind the death of Kamal, while taking into consideration both sides of the story. The film utilises drama reconstruction scenes depicting the brutal detention conditions and torture methods in Egyptian prisons to better understand whether this was a possible cause of death.
